ART INSPIRED BY BARBARA'S POEM "BUBBLE WRAP" IS ON DISPLAY AT THE SOAP GALLERY IN YOUNGSTOWN

Updated: Dec 31, 2022

This is actually quite thrilling. Two art student's at Youngstown State University, selected my poem "Bubble Wrap" as a subject for art that they create The art and the poem are displayed at the Soap Gallery in Youngstown, Ohio. It is wonderful and so very fascinating to see two different artists respond to my poem. Art inspires other artists and begets more art. I guess it is a form of "passing it along."

"Bubble Wrap" has been published several times, and was used this summer in a writing class for teenage girls. My poetry has been on display at art galleries before, such as the Akron Soul Train, the Summit Art Space, and the gallery at Northern Kentucky State University.

I am always extremely appreciative for the validation and when my poetry makes a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
