Award-Winning Transgender Poet, Barbara Marie Minney, Launches New and Improved Website

Updated: Dec 31, 2022

When my father received a gift that he particularly liked, he would set it aside saying, "I’m going to save this for a rainy day.” The problem with this approach is the rainy day never came, and we found most of those gifts still unopened and unused after he died. For some reason, I have taken that approach with my new and much improved website. It was finished months ago, but I’ve been waiting for that rainy day to announce it.

Well, today is that day. I would love for you to visit my new, improved, and updated website and become a subscriber. I will be posting news and personal items as well as book reviews, essays and poetry. My new website is much more more functional and user friendly.

***Barbara Marie Minney is a poet, public speaker, and quiet activist. She primarily writes personal and emotional poetry that describes her thoughts, feelings, and passions while struggling to live her truth as a transgender woman. She has a unique perspective, because she transitioned at the age of 63 after repressing her true gender identity for over 60 years. Her poetry is raw, clear, and authentic and displays her strength, honesty, vulnerability, and hope. Her first collection of poetry, “If There’s No Heaven,” was the winner of the 2020 Poetry Is Life Book Award and was listed by the “Akron Beacon Journal” as one of the best Northeast Ohio books in 2020. It would be great if you bought your copy today at www.poetryislifepublishing.com. Barbara is also available for readings, facilitating workshops, interviews, and speaking about her unique story.
