“I THOUGHT I HEARD A CARDINAL SING” READING IN AKRON ON SATURDAY

I will be reading my poem “Rainbow on the Bathroom Rug: Akron Pride” along with so many other Ohio Appalachian voices at the “I Thought I Heard A Cardinal Sing” Anthology reading on Saturday. The event will be held at the Summit ArtSpace, 140 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio, beginning at 2:00 PM. Copies of the Anthology as well as the books of individual authors will be available for purchase.


The Anthology was edited by the Ohio Poet Laureate, Kari Gunter-Seymour, and published by Hayley Mitchell Haugen at Sheila-Na-Gig Editions. This event is sponsored by the Summit ArtSpace.

Barbara Marie Minney is a transgender woman, poet, writer, speaker, and quiet activist. She is a retired attorney and originally from West Virginia.
