“Rainbow Blonde”  awarded second place in the People’s Choice Category at the West Virginia Writers, Inc. Spring Conference!

My new poem “Rainbow Blond” was awarded second place in the People’s Choice Poetry Category in the 2024 Annual Writers Competition at the 46th Annual Conference of West Virginia Writers, Inc.

The People’s Choice Awards gives writers the opportunity to read their fiction, nonfiction, or poetry aloud. Each reader is allowed to read for four minutes. After the readings, ballots are distributed, and each attendee (reader or listener) votes for  first, second, and third places. Winners are recognized at the Saturday evening Awards Banquet.

I am grateful to my fellow writers  for awarding me second place.
