I am extremely proud that two of my poems were selected to be included in “Wicked Gay Ways 2021 Winter Issue.” Some of my friends may not approve of this publication or my poems of queer erotica. I also sometimes wonder if my accomplishments as a poet are because I am a novelty as a transgender woman who writes poetry, or whether I otherwise am a talented writer. Either way, I am ready to embrace myself as a queer writer; although, the word does sometimes make me more than a little uncomfortable.
