I am so very excited to announce that I have signed a Publishing Agreement with Purpled Palm Press for the publication of a full-length poetry collection in 2023 or 2024. Purpled Palm Press is a queer owned and operated publishing company located in Chicago that is most deserving of our support.
I am thrilled beyond words to be one of the writers that is going to help Purpled Palm Press expand its brand and at the same time, expand my own recognition, to a much wider audience.
Both Purple Palmed Press and I have much more to say in order to advance the recognition, specifically of transgender women in my case, and the LGBTQ+ community in general.
Barbara Marie Minney is a transgender woman, poet, writer, speaker, and quiet activist. She is a retired attorney and originally from West Virginia. Now based in Tallmadge, Ohio, her first collection of poetry entitled “If There’s No Heaven” was the winner of the 2020 Poetry Is Life Book Award and the Akron Beacon Journal Best Northeast Ohio Books 2020.
